TUITION & FEES 2011-2012
Tuition: $11,650
Enrollment Fee: $400
Books & Supplies: $250
The tuition for the 2011-2012 academic year is $11,650. Bishop Hendricken recognizes that tuition can put a financial strain on some families who want a Hendricken education for their sons. In order to assist these families, approximately 52% of our student body receives some form of financial assistance.
Tuition Payment Plan
Bishop Hendricken High School contracts with Tuition Management Systems (TMS) for monthly tuition payments. We ask that each family choose a payment option upon enrollment, and this contract can be renewed for each of the student's four years. There are three payment options:
1. Full Payment Plan: Families who choose this plan receive a $100 discount. Tuition is paid in full by June 1st for the following academic year.
2. Two Payment Plan: The full year's tuition is divided into two equal payments. The first payment is due on June 1st for the following academic year, and the second is due on December 1st of that year.
3. Monthly Payment Plan: This is an automatic monthly withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Payments can be divided evenly over a ten or eleven-month period beginning in June for the following academic year.
More information about the Tuition payment options and the Tuition Management Systems enrollment agreement are included in the acceptance notification packet that students receive from the Admissions Office. For more information about the Tuition Payment Plan, please contact Ms. Caren Cotoia in the Business Office at 739.3450, ext. 117.
Tuition Assistance Program
Bishop Hendricken High School and the Diocese of Providence strive to make a Catholic education affordable to families by allocating funds for need-based tuition assistance. For the 2011-2012 academic year, approximately 52% of our student body received some type of financial assistance. All awards are based on a family's financial need and the availability of funds.
Financial Aid Application Process
The Diocese of Providence and Bishop Hendricken High School utilize FACTS to allocate funds and determine the amount of aid to be awarded to a student. FACTS is a national tuition and financial assessment company specializing in K-12 education.
The Admissions Office will notify all prospective families when the FACTS form becomes available online and in the office, usually by January 1st. The Business Office will also notify returning families that it is available. All families should complete the FACTS application at the earliest possible date to be considered for financial aid. You should plan to have your income tax information from the previous year available at the time you complete the application.
Each year, FACTS Management Company helps more than one million families achieve their education goals. Parents are reminded to visit their website at www.factstuitionaid.com for additional information.
Who should apply?
If a need exists, we encourage a family to apply. A number of factors are considered to determine whether or not a family will qualify for tuition assistance.
When should families apply?
All students who apply for admission to Bishop Hendricken will receive notification by email when the form is available online. Hard copies are also available by contacting the Business Office. Parents of incoming students should submit their tuition assistance applications by mid-February for consideration. Late applications for financial aid will be considered if funds are available.
How do families apply?
Tuition assistance applications can be obtained by contacting the Business Office at 401.739.3450, ext. 117. Once the form is available online, you can access it at factsmgt.com, then select the tab for parents and students and follow instructions under "complete application online."
How do families know if they qualify for financial assistance?
All families are expected to make some contribution towards their son's tuition, but we do our best to help families afford a Bishop Hendricken education. Applicants for tuition assistance will receive a letter with their financial aid award by mid-May. Notification is also made to any student who might be declined financial aid.
Do families need to re-apply each year?
Yes, awards are not automatically renewed. A new FACTS application must be submitted for each school year.
Do these awards have to be repaid?
No, awards do not have to be paid back. The awards are neither scholarships nor loans; they are awards of financial assistance offered by Bishop Hendricken to support your son's education.
When assistance is awarded, what options are available to pay the remaining balance for my son's tuition?
You may pay the balance of your tuition by any of the payment plans outlined above under the heading "Tuition Payment Plans."
