Bishop Hendricken hosts Memorial Day Prayer Service on May 30

Bishop Hendricken High School will honor fallen members of the United States armed forces at a Memorial Day prayer service taking place on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 10:15am. The service will take place in the War Memorial Prayer Garden located next to the Hawk Country arch near the school’s athletics fields. All are welcome.

At the prayer service, Bishop Hendricken will remember all who have served, especially alumni who have made the ultimate sacrifice: 2LT. Richard D. McKenzie ’63, Cpt. Matthew J. August ’93, and LCpl. Eric P. Valdepeñas ’03. Chaplain, Lt. Col. Fr. David Thurber, Joint Force Chaplain of the Rhode Island Army and Air National Guard, will serve as the service’s keynote speaker. Fr. Robert L. Maricano, KHS ’75, Bishop Hendricken President, will also be joined by special guest, Lt. Gen. Reginald Centracchio, Adjutant Emeritus of the Rhode Island National Guard.

“The Bishop Hendricken family is proud to honor and remember those who have served and to keep our promise to never forget them,” said Fr. Marciano.
