Bishop Hendricken & Smart Scheduling

WARWICK, RI (September 12, 2019) – In partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and the Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL), Bishop Hendricken High School is taking precautions to ensure the safety of our school community regarding the threat of mosquito-borne illnesses that is currently at an elevated risk in our state, including EEE and West Nile Virus.

Bishop Hendricken has taken measures to help minimize the threat of these problems by spraying athletic fields, updating practice and game times when necessary in conjunction with the RIDOH’s smart scheduling recommendations, and providing athletes and coaches with bug spray containing DEET.

All spectators and fans attending athletic events on campus should bring bug spray containing DEET for their own safety. Scheduling updates will be available on Twitter at @HendrickenHawks and @HendrickenAth. More information with further recommendations from the Department of Health and the RIIL will be emailed to parents.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Go Hawks!
