“In October 2013, I was a senior at Hendricken when my father, Robert G. Fredette, suddenly passed away from pancreatic cancer.

Mr. Gambardella and Fr. Murphy were the first people at my door the next day. The support they provided to my mother and me at that time, and the months that followed, was overwhelming. The same is true of the support of the Lazarus Fraternity, a support group of approximately 40 young men at Hendricken that have lost a parent or sibling. In wanting to do something meaningful in my dad’s memory and give back to the Lazarus Fraternity, I created the Robert G. Fredette Memorial Scholarship Fund. I want a student, if they so happen to be in the unfortunate situation in which I found myself, to have the unwavering, genuine support of the Lazarus Fraternity that so greatly benefited me.”

– Robert Fredette ’14

That’s what the Lazarus Fraternity did for Rob Fredette ’14, and now Rob is paying it forward to others. What will you do to show you care?
