Students will build confidence, work as a team, and learn the foundations of musical theatre as they prepare to perform in a production of Disney’s High School Musical Jr! Each day will begin and end with an ensemble building activity designed to energize participants and build community among the cast. Our experienced teaching artists will also engage students in a daily workshop focused on a particular theatre-based skill. The large remainder of the day will be spent in music, dance, and acting rehearsals, as students learn the process and skills required to perform a musical. The session will culminate with a live performance for family and friends in the Daniel S. Harrop Theater!
CAMP WEEK: August 7-11, 2023

Summer Screen is a unique week-long camp offered to students entering grades 6-10. Working in teams on location at the Bishop Hendricken campus, students will write, produce, edit and star in their own short films using hi-definition cameras and Adobe Premiere editing software. The air-conditioned Ni-Ro-Pe Digital Media Suite provides the perfect setting for students to immerse themselves in a creative and fun educational summer program. Our studio offers state-of-the-art equipment and resources, giving students the ultimate creative freedom to complete their vision. Students will have the opportunity to use hi-definition cameras, a green screen studio, audio recording equipment, steady cams and dollies in the creation of their film. At the end of the week, students will view their films on the big screen during their premiere event in the Dr. Daniel Harrop Theater. Parents, family, and friends are invited to the screening.
