(Warwick, RI)- Bishop Hendricken High School is proud to introduce its Teacher Coaching Program, a new initiative designed to foster the growth and success of educators through personalized mentorship, professional development, and actionable feedback.
English Department Chair and Sophomore Class Advisor Dr. Melissa Andrews, now in her 12th year at Bishop Hendricken, and Social Studies Teacher and Freshman Class Advisor Mr. John Manning ’06, currently in his 14th year on faculty, have been selected to serve as the school’s first Teacher Coaches. The program provides a structured framework of guidance and support for new teachers while also creating ongoing opportunities for professional learning across campus.
This initiative reflects Bishop Hendricken’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and to supporting the professional success of its faculty. The school is committed to developing teachers’ skill sets and supporting their dedication to student success.
John Manning ’06 shared his perspective on the new program: “Coaching is a true passion of mine and getting the chance to work with and mentor teachers at Bishop Hendricken is an experience I am incredibly excited about. This is a great opportunity to strengthen an already excellent faculty and develop the next group of teachers that we as alumni all cherish and remember.”
