Bishop Hendricken Students Earn Prestigious College Acceptances

Warwick, RI (December 19, 2025)- With several students receiving college acceptances, Bishop Hendricken High School would like to recognize a few individuals who have gone above and beyond and earned truly impressive acceptances.

Jetson Wilk ’26 has been accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and plans to pursue Chemical Engineering.

Academically, Jetson has taken an exceptionally rigorous course load and has enrolled in the maximum number of AP courses allowed for seniors. He is a motivated and dedicated student who not only excels academically but also leads by example and supports those around him.

Jetson relaunched the Robotics Team at Bishop Hendricken and joined the newly reformed Technology Academy. He serves as a tutor for students in need of academic support and dedicates his free time to helping others. Additionally, Jetson is a Peer Mentor in the Options Program, where he assists students with their coursework throughout the school day. Jetson also partnered with a nonprofit organization supporting African students in Ethiopia, for whom he created six to eight chemistry kits along with a laboratory curriculum. Outside the classroom, Jetson is known for being thoughtful, curious, and creative, as noted by the Director of School Counseling.

Shane Ciunci ’26 has been accepted to Harvard University and intends to study Business.

Shane is widely recognized for being compassionate, determined, community-minded, and humble. His resume reflects the significant time and effort he dedicates not only to academics but to all aspects of his high school experience. Shane’s academic record includes numerous Advanced Placement courses, and he consistently rises to meet academic challenges.

Shane serves as Senior Class President and is actively involved in the Leadership Academy, Hawks Morning Broadcast, Varsity Tennis, and Math Team. He also founded Rally4Racquets, a nonprofit organization that has donated over 2,450 tennis racquets to underprivileged children. There is no limit to what Shane can achieve when he sets his mind to a goal.

Ryan Yin 26 has been accepted to the University of Notre Dame and plans to study Finance.

After transferring to Bishop Hendricken during his sophomore year, Ryan transitioned smoothly into the school’s culture. He has taken the most rigorous coursework available and maximized his AP credits during his senior year. His hard work and dedication have clearly earned him this acceptance.

Ryan is a member of the Leadership Academy and has planned several community service projects. He also serves as a Peer Mentor in the Options Program and as a Peer Minister. Athletically, Ryan competed on the Varsity Volleyball team, participated in indoor track during his junior year, and played varsity basketball during his sophomore year. According to the Director of School Counseling, Ryan is a smart, reliable, and genuine young man who overcomes obstacles with grace and determination.

Alejandro Quintero Cashore ’26 has been accepted to the University of Notre Dame and is interested in exploring multiple academic majors.

Alejandro has been described by his school counselor as “diverse” due to the wide range of activities and commitments he has pursued. He has taken a combination of AP and honors courses while maximizing the number of AP credits allowed annually. Alejandro ranked first in the Rhode Island All-State Music Festival for cello, was a member of the State Championship Varsity Soccer Team, earned a JV State Championship in the 55-meter hurdles, and is a gold medalist on the Bishop Hendricken Decathlon Team.

Alejandro excels academically, artistically, and athletically. He is fluent in Spanish and enrolled in a college-level Spanish course at the Community College of Rhode Island while also taking Honors French. Additionally, he participates in an honors-level chamber music class before school each day as part of the Arts Academy.

A passionate leader, Alejandro serves as President of the Brotherhood, Bishop Hendricken High School’s affinity group for students of color, and is organizing a service trip to Montgomery, Alabama, in Spring 2026. He regularly brings initiatives to the administration, demonstrating his character as a confident, mature, and enthusiastic young man who continually challenges himself.

Congratulations to Jetson, Shane, Ryan, and Alejandro on their outstanding accomplishments. Your dedication, leadership, and hard work exemplify the very best of Bishop Hendricken High School, and we wish you continued success in all that lies ahead.
