At Bishop Hendricken, Hawks soar in every field: academics, arts, athletics, and community leadership. Our entire school community consistently sets impressive milestones, earning prestigious honors, breaking records, and showcasing talent and dedication at local, state, national, and even international levels. These achievements reflect the spirit of excellence, resilience, and pride that define Hendricken. We proudly celebrate the collective success of our students, faculty, and staff who make our school a place where Hawks truly thrive.

Our students achieve remarkable things every day, both inside and outside the classroom. What you see here is just a snapshot of their many successes. This is a small glimpse into the hard work, passion, and dedication that define the Hendricken experience. Academic Achievements:

  • 68% of the class of 2025 achieved National and Rhode Island Honor Society Membership.
  • The class of 2025 earned 4 Ivy League Acceptances, 177 colleges and university acceptances and amassed $35 million in recorded college scholarships, projected over four years.
  • 1 U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalist and 4 National Merit Commended Students in the 2025 class.
  • Mock Trial earned its first-ever State Championship in the school’s history.
  • Our DECA Team qualified to represent Hendricken and the State of RI at the International Career Development Conference, with one of our groups placing 6th in the World.
  • Sophomore Danu Kim received a First Grant in the RI Science and Engineering Fair.
  • Addison Heffernan published research in a recognized medical journal.
  • Jackson Kretzer was chosen as a First Official Dean’s List Finalist in a national robotics competition.
  • Braedon Campbell turned his Spring Senior Experience into a co-founded business, Freedom Express.
  • Hendricken has over 80 Options Mentors, 31 Peer Ministers, and 80 School Ambassadors.

Arts Achievements:

  • Elf received 22 Ocean State Star Nominations and 6 awards.
  • Angelo Cipolla made his Broadway debut and represented Bishop Hendricken and Rhode Island for the Jimmy Awards.
  • Paramount Show Choir achieved two grand champion awards and gold medal ratings.
  • Alejandro Quintero Cashore made the National Youth Orchestra and played with the RI Philharmonic.
  • Four musicians achieved All State.

Athletics Achievements:

  • Brent Karpowich earned Gatorade Player of the Year for Rhode Island Boys Soccer. It is the 35th Gatorade Award in Hendricken History and the first for Hendricken Soccer.
  • 61% of students played on a championship team.
  • 18 athletes from the class of 2025 playing a NCAA Division 1 sport in college.
  • 14 State Titles (Varsity teams took home state championships in Football, Soccer, Cross Country, Unified Volleyball, Ice Hockey, Swimming, and Baseball).
  • There were 9 National Letters of Intent signed.
  • 30 All State Athletes.
  • After 26 years, Bishop Hendricken won their first Division 1 Soccer State Championship.
  • Hawks Cross Country won the State Championship, their 29th state title.
  • The Hendricken Table Tennis Team captured the State Championship.
  • Hendricken Hockey made it five straight Division 1 State Championships, in a triple overtime win.
  • The Hendricken Swim Team earned its 36th State Title.
  • Hendricken Baseball won their 24th Division 1 State Title.
  • Carson Dean broke the State Pole Vault record by clearing 16 feet.
  • 8th Grade Cross Country, Basketball, and Baseball teams had successful years, each winning Championships.
  • Freshman and Junior Varsity teams had incredible seasons in all sports.
