Bishop Hendricken High School Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2026

WARWICK, RI (3 June, 2026) – Bishop Hendricken High School is pleased to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2026. Valedictorian, Alejandro Quintero Cashore and Salutatorian, Jetson Wilk will both be honored at Bishop Hendricken High School’s 65th Commencement Ceremony this Friday, June 5th at the Cathedral at Saint Peter and Paul.

Alejandro Quintero Cashore has distinguished himself as an exceptional scholar, musician, athlete, and servant leader throughout his time at Bishop Hendricken. A National Merit Commended Scholar, he has earned national recognition for his academic achievements while also excelling in the arts as a three-time Rhode Island All-State Orchestra Principal Cellist and a member of Carnegie Hall’s prestigious NYO2, the Junior National Youth Orchestra of the United States. As President of The Brotherhood, Alejandro demonstrated outstanding leadership by organizing Bishop Hendricken’s inaugural Civil Rights Immersion Trip to Montgomery, Alabama. His commitment to service, combined with accomplishments in music, athletics, and academics, has left a lasting impact on the school community. Alejandro will continue his academic journey at Yale University in the fall.

Jetson Wilk has established himself as a leader in innovation, scholarship, and service. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Emerging Innovators of 2026 from a pool of students representing 25 states and 29 countries, Jetson has demonstrated a remarkable passion for STEM and problem-solving. As Lead Builder of the robotics team, he helped rebuild the program and guide it to international competition. He has also served as Vice President of The Brotherhood, interned at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, and helped expand educational opportunities through international STEM outreach initiatives. An AP Scholar with Distinction and recipient of the Yale Book Award, Jetson will continue his academic journey this fall at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished, and even more excited for the impact they will continue to make beyond Bishop Hendricken.”

Alejandro and Jetson embody the academic excellence, leadership, service, and brotherhood that are at the core of the Bishop Hendricken experience. Their contributions have meaningfully strengthened the school community, and their accomplishments have set them on a strong path as they move forward into the next chapter of their academic journeys.
