4 Students Named National Merit Commended Scholars

WARWICK, RI (September 21, 2021) – Today, Mark DeCiccio, Principal, and Natalie Kessimian, Assistant Principal, are pleased to announce that four Bishop Hendricken seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program: Aidan Cahill ’22, Neil Dungca ’22, Daniel Franchetti ’22, and Samuel Warr ’22.

All four students are recognized based on the 2020 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and are among the top 50,000 students across the United States who entered the 2022 competition.

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a National Merit Scholarship Corporation spokesperson. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
