WARWICK, RI (December 1, 2023) – Bishop Hendricken High School is proud to announce record-setting data for its 2023 #GivingTuesday campaign. This year’s efforts raised $213,298 from 645 unique donors. Both numbers — dollars raised and donors — set new records for the school’s annual single day of giving.
The campaign was highlighted by an historic gift from Paul Masse, an alumni parent of the Class of 2007, who donated $100,000 to the cause. With a 500-donor goal, the day saw participation from nearly every graduating class, including 182 current students. Donors contributed to the campaign from 18 states.
“This year’s #GivingTuesday campaign was an historic endeavor thanks to all those who contributed,” said Fr. Robert L. Marciano, KHS ’75, President. “A success such as this is a true testament to our community’s belief in our mission: educating the total person through a strong, all-boys, Catholic education.”
All contributions to the #GivingTuesday campaign support The FUND for HENDRICKEN, unrestricted dollars that benefit the areas of greatest need at any given time, including tuition assistance, campus enhancements, and arts, athletics, and mission programming. Via a superhero theme entitled “Be the Hero,” the social media and digital campaign communicated key, inspirational stories through Bishop Hendricken’s history. To view the campaign, click here.
#GivingTuesday is a worldwide day of philanthropy celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
