College football interest in Xavier Truss ’19 heats up

Divison I offers continue to roll in for Xavier Truss ’19, highlighted by visits to Hendricken

Update: On February 13, Xavier received offers from #1 University of Alabama, 2018 College Football Playoff National Champions, and the University of Kentucky. 

On Wednesday, Xavier received offers from the University of Tennessee, the University of Arkansas, and #18 Louisiana State University. On Tuesday, #2 University of Georgia, runners up in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, extended its offer. 

WARWICK, RI – To say that college football programs are interested in Hendricken Junior Xavier Truss would be an understatement. To date, Xavier has received 18 offers from powerhouse Division I programs across the country.

Over the past few weeks, legendary coaches have made their way to Bishop Hendricken to visit with Xavier, Keith Croft, and the Hendricken Football staff, including: Urban Meyer and #5 Ohio State University; Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan; DJ Durkin and the University of Maryland; and James Franklin and Penn State University.

In all, Xavier has received offers from Army West Point, Boston College, Brigham Young University, Florida State University, #19 Mississippi State University, #5 Ohio State University, #8 Penn State University, Rutgers University, Syracuse University, University of Connecticut, University of Florida, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, University of Missouri, University of North Carolina, #3 University of Oklahoma, University of Oregon, and #24 Virginia Tech.

The 6’7″, 325-pound offensive and defensive lineman is currently ranked #63 nationally in the Class of 2019 recruitment pool by 247Sports, and is the #10 ranked offensive tackle in the country, as well as the #1 recruit from Rhode Island.
