Bishop Hendricken and Iggy’s host Veterans’ Day Breakfast
WARWICK, RI (November 2, 2020) – Bishop Hendricken High School and Iggy‘s will co-sponsor a free full breakfast for all veterans at Iggy‘s Boardwalk Restaurant on Oakland Beach Avenue in Warwick on Wednesday, November 11th.
Mr. & Mrs. Richard August, Gold Star Parents of Hendricken alumnus, Army Capt. Matthew J. August ’93, who was killed in action in 2004 while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, will serve as Honorary Chairpersons. Hendricken soccer coach, William Johnston ’99, and his team will serve as waiters. Chaplain Major (Father) David Thurber, RI Air National Guard, will bring greetings from the military and offer grace.
“It’s our way of saying thank you to these brave men and women for the sacrifices they made for all of us,” said Hendricken president, Father Robert Marchiano, KHS ’75. “We could not be happier to have Iggy‘s join us to recognize all who served.”
Face masks are required, and tables will be social distanced. Veterans may choose from two seating times: 8:30 am or 9:30 am, or curbside pickup will be available every half hour from 8:30 am – 10:00 am.
