The Arts at Bishop Hendricken: 2023-2024 Season

School is underway and the Arts at Bishop Hendricken has incredible productions planned for the year ahead!

For more information, contact Julia Paolino, Director of Arts, at julia.paolino@hendricken.com.

Young Men’s Chorus
Whether you have never sung before or are a veteran performer, consider joining the Young Men’s Chorus, our non-auditioned choir at Hendricken! The Young Men’s Chorus performs from September until June each year at all school Masses and several community events. This is a very exciting way to meet new people and there are no auditions required.

Please contact Richard Sylvia, Vocal Music Program Coordinator, at rsylvia@hendricken.com and/or attend a rehearsal to join in!
Fall Musical: The Drowsy Chaperone

With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight!

Spring Play: The Outsiders

No one ever said life was easy. But Ponyboy is pretty sure that he’s got things figured out. He knows that he can count on his brothers, Darry and Sodapop. And he knows that he can count on his friends—true friends who would do anything for him, like Johnny and Two-Bit. But not on much else besides trouble with the Socs, a vicious gang of rich kids whose idea of a good time is beating up on “greasers” like Ponyboy. At least he knows what to expect—until the night someone takes things too far.
