Bishop Hendricken Celebrates the 65th Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026

WARWICK, RI (9 June, 2026) – Bishop Hendricken High School proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 during its 65th Commencement Ceremony on Friday at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul.

This year marks a historic year for Bishop Hendricken across academics, athletics, and the arts, reflecting the school’s continued tradition of excellence and achievement.

The ceremony brought together graduates, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters to honor the achievements of 113 young men as they completed their Bishop Hendricken journey and prepared for the next chapter of their lives.

Delivering the Commencement Address was David Emma ’87, a Boston College graduate, 1992 United States Olympic hockey player, and Hobey Baker Award winner. In his remarks, Emma challenged graduates to pursue their goals with determination and perseverance, encouraging them to remain relentless in their efforts and embrace the value of going above and beyond in everything they do.

“Success is not about being the most talented. It’s about being the most committed,” Emma told the graduates. He also encouraged students to surround themselves with people who believe in them and inspired them to dream without limits, stating, “Dream big, and then dream even bigger. If your dreams do not intimidate you, they probably aren’t big enough.”

The Most Reverend Bruce Alan Lewandowski served as the ceremony’s honorary guest and offered a blessing for the graduates as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

Alejandro Quintero Cashore was recognized as the Class Valedictorian, while Jetson Wilk served as Salutatorian. Both students exemplified the academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service that define the Bishop Hendricken experience.

During the ceremony, members of the Class of 2026 were officially welcomed into the ranks of Bishop Hendricken alumni, joining a global network of graduates who continue to make a positive impact in their communities and professions.

“We are so proud to send this next generation of Hawks out into the world, confident that they will lead with purpose, character, and heart, carrying forward the values they have built here and continuing to make us proud in all that they do” said President/Principal Mark DeCiccio ’03.

Bishop Hendricken High School congratulates the Class of 2026 and looks forward to witnessing the accomplishments they will achieve in the years ahead.
