WARWICK, RI (July 18, 2024) – Today, Mark DeCiccio ’03, Principal, is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Sheehan, Jr. ’09 as Assistant Principal. Sheehan will serve alongside Natalie Kessimian, effective immediately. In this role, Sheehan will spearhead student conduct, campus safety, school operations, and faculty duty assignments.
A 2009 graduate, Sheehan most recently served as Dean of Strategic Leadership and Grade 8 with oversight of strategic planning, the Leadership Academy, and 8th Grade SELECT program. Sheehan has been a member of the School Leadership Team, School Improvement Team, Student Support Team, Redefining College Prep Committee, Culture and Climate Committee, NEASC Reaccreditation Steering Committee, and COVID Task Force.
“Chris is an outstanding educator who always puts students first,” said DeCiccio. “At every level he’s ever served, Chris has a proven track record of developing strategic initiatives and bringing them to new heights. Over the past three years, he has been an invaluable member of our leadership team, cultivating and executing projects that better our school, community, and overall student experience. He’s the perfect fit for this new opportunity.”

Sheehan began his career at Bishop Hendricken as a Health teacher in 2015. He has coached Varsity Baseball for the past 10 years while also serving as Assistant Athletic Director for the past five. He holds a Master’s of Education in School Leadership from Providence College and a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and Education from the University of Rhode Island. Sheehan is Incident Command System Certified through FEMA.
