WARWICK, RI (June 26, 2024) – Summer Stage at Bishop Hendricken will proudly present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as its 25th anniversary mainstage musical from July 25-28, 2024 in the Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater. The title originated the summer theater program at Bishop Hendricken in 2000.
The production will feature a 5-show run with performances on: Thursday, July 25 at 7pm; Friday, July 26 at 8pm; Saturday, July 27 at 2pm and 7pm; and Sunday, July 28 at 2pm. Tickets are $12 for students/seniors and $15 for adults. Tickets are on sale now, here.
“Celebrating the 25th anniversary production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a special milestone for us,” said Julia Paolino, Director of Arts. “This show is a tribute to the pure joy of storytelling with friends and the magic of using our imaginations. It’s a lively party that invites everyone to rediscover their inner child. This year, we’re especially excited to incorporate a children’s chorus featuring talented students from the Summer Stage Workshop. With the past, present, and future of the program together on stage, this production does what Summer Stage does best: fuses together generations for the creation of art and community.”
One of the most enduring shows of all time, this telling of the biblical story of Joseph and his brothers is filled with great music, costumes, laughter, joy, and heart. Utilizing many different styles of music from pop/rock to country to musical comedy, this sparkling show follows young Joseph as he faces adversity and triumphs through his dreams and his strong, unwavering faith.
