The Hawks defeated the Portsmouth Patriots 2-0 at Johnson & Wales University’s Harborside Campus – Wildcat Center in Providence. Hendricken swept Portsmouth in straight sets (25-13, 25-21.)

Hendricken hit a new record of 3-hit returns with 38 in game one and had a rally streak of 9! Brook Golding, Josh Tucker, and Steven Baker each racked up 7 points!  Senior Tyler Soares earned 5 points and was perfect from the serving line.  Senior Captain Matt Mangili scored 2 points and Mike Castelli earned an ace from the serving line.  The front line held strong throughout the day and kept the Patriots at bay.  Thanks to all of our seniors: Tyler Soares, Dan Legare, Ethan Famiano, Nick Grieco, Matt Walsh, Ryan Williams, Matt Mangili, and Mike Hajjar.  The team ended the season with 393 points overall and 436 3-hit returns!  “Thank you for everyone that came out to support the team,” head coach Jeremy Graney said. “The crowd was on fire and created an electrifying atmosphere.  Our strength is in our unity!”
