WARWICK, RI (June 11, 2025) On Tuesday, Bishop Hendricken High School proudly celebrated its 64th Graduation Exercises, honoring the Class of 2025 at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in downtown Providence. The ceremony, held at 5:00 p.m., brought together graduates, families, faculty, and friends for a heartfelt evening of celebration.
Principal Mark DeCiccio ’03 opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, expressing his deep appreciation for the Class of 2025. He highlighted their many accomplishments and noted their resilience, leadership, and commitment to the Bishop Hendricken High School community.
The celebration began with an opening prayer from Chaplain Father Brian Morris ’03, joining everyone in reflection.
A meaningful tribute followed as Mark McPhillips, Director of Campus Ministry, joined seniors Alexander Elevado and Alexander Arnold in placing flowers at the sarcophagus of Bishop Thomas F. Hendricken, honoring the school’s spiritual foundation and instilled values.
Assistant Principal Natalie Kessiman served as Master of Ceremonies, offering thoughtful introductions for the evening’s speakers: Salutatorian Inesh Rai, Valedictorian Joseph Nicchia, and Commencement Speaker Michael Haxton ’78. Each shared inspiring reflections and messages for the graduating class.
The Most Reverend Bruce Alan Lewandowski was also in attendance and offered words of encouragement and blessing to the graduates and their families.
Music for the evening was beautifully provided by the Young Men’s Chorus and members of the Concert Band.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on this milestone achievement!
