Bishop Hendricken High School Welcomes Incoming Students at New Student Orientation

WARWICK, RI (May 29, 2025) —Bishop Hendricken High School proudly welcomed its incoming SELECT 8th Grade Class and Freshman Class of 2029 to campus yesterday for New Student Orientation. The event, designed to ease the transition into high school life, offered students and their families a comprehensive overview of what to expect in the coming months as they prepare for the start of school at Bishop Hendricken.

The evening began in the Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater, where families were greeted by members of the administration and faculty. Staff introductions were followed by an in-depth informational session highlighting the school’s New Student Hub, a digital resource center that houses key admissions details, important deadlines, forms, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Parents and guardians had the opportunity to review their son’s class schedule, explore the PowerSchool Parent Portal, and learn about the school’s dress code and other start-of-school essentials. The orientation also covered summer reading lists, book registration, transportation details, and opportunities available to our new Hawks.

Meanwhile, students broke into classrooms to get acquainted with one another and engage in small group discussions led by some of our current students. These mentors shared advice, answered questions, and helped incoming students begin building connections by exploring shared interests and goals for the upcoming school year.

The evening concluded with refreshments in the cafeteria, where families reunited and had the chance to hear more about their students’ experiences during the classroom sessions.

Congratulations to all our new students and families — we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish at Bishop Hendricken!
