WARWICK, RI (September 16, 2018) – Bishop Hendricken High School kicks off the 2018-2019 FUND for HENDRICKEN, the school’s annual fund campaign, on Friday, September 21st at 6pm in the Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater on the Bishop Hendricken campus.

The special kick-off event will begin with a welcome from President John Jackson ’71 and Fr. Bob Marciano ’75, the 2018-2019 FUND for HENDRICKEN Chair. After, guests and alumni are invited to attend a free Tailgate Party in the Pavilion at Hayden Stadium beginning at 7pm as Varsity Football takes on North Kingstown.

Guests and alumni planning to attend the 2018-2019 FUND for HENDRICKEN Kick-Off should RSVP to Heather Picillo at hpicillo@hendricken.com or 401.739.3450, ext. 130 by Thursday, September 20th.

The FUND for HENDRICKEN is the foundation of Bishop Hendricken’s fundraising efforts. The FUND for HENDRICKEN dollars are generally unrestricted funds which directly support the school’s operating budget, but donors may also designate their gifts to specific needs within the FUND. Approximately 4% of Bishop Hendricken’s budget is provided for by gifts from alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, students, faculty, staff and friends.

The Varsity Football team enters Friday evening’s contest with a 1-1 overall record, and a 1-0 record in Rhode Island Interscholastic League play. Prior to last week’s 35-0 win over Cumberland, the Hawks opened their season against New York powerhouse Iona Preparatory. Keith Croft’s squad takes on a North Kingstown team that is perfect thus far in their first season back in Division I play.
