Dear Parents,
A bill to support educational opportunity and provide children with the chance to be in a school of their choice has been introduced, and is currently being evaluated at the State House. In order for this bill to have a chance of passing, parents need to contact the legislature and ask their representatives to support the bill noted below.

I am very concerned about education in my town and the State of Rhode Island. There is so much discussion around the state of education in Rhode Island and ways to improve it in the future.
Why wait? There is something you can do now, to enhance educational opportunities for children of your constituents. It is House Bill 2019-H 5273 which would increase the aggregate amount of the corporate education tax credit scholarship program from 1.5 million to 5.0 million dollars thanks to some very concerned and forward thinking members of the House of Representatives.
Please support this bill which will provide a greater pool of money available for children to be in a school which gives them the best educational opportunity and the ability to excel in life.
I urge you to support this bill and vote to “Raise the Cap”, by being in support of 2019-H 5273, an act “Relating to Taxation-Tax Credits for Contributions to Scholarship Organizations”.
